Michelle Pfeiffer - The Fourth Time Around

Here's the last of four Michelle Pfeiffer photos (for now) for this blog. :-)

Michelle Pfeiffer hasn't been in many movies recently, but she did appear in last year's Stardust and will soon be seen in Chasing Montana.

Michelle Pfeiffer, Part 3

Michelle Pfeiffer continued her movie career in full stride as the millenium turned.

In 2000, she starred with Harrison Ford in the thriller What Lies Beneath, a major box office success. She appeared starred opposite Sean Penn in I Am Sam in 2001 and in White Oleander with Renée Zellweger and Robin Wright. The latter role got her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress.

Michelle Pfeiffer, Again

Michelle Pfeiffer's continued success in the 1990's proved that she was not just another pretty face. :-)

Her film appearances from that decade include Frankie and Johnny, Batman Returns (as the Catwoman), The Age of Innocnece, and One Fine Day.

One obvious miscasting was Dangerous Minds where she played a former Marine teaching inner-city high school students. Michelle Pfeiffer? As an ex-Marine? To give you an idea how safe that movie - which was about a real ex-Marine woman, Louanne Johnson - played it, she portrayed Johnson using Bob Dylan lyrics to teach literature, when in fact the real Johnson used rap lyrics.

Actress Michelle Pfeiffer

For my first post of the new year on this blog, I thought I'd visit an American classic . . . Michelle Pfeiffer. :-)

The California-born actress has been active in movies for over a quarter century. Her first big break wasn't much of one - the lead role in 1982's Grease 2. :-O She broke out in 1983 with her role as Elvira Hancock in Al Pacino's remake of Scarface, and went on to distinguish herself in movies such as Ladyhawke (1985) and Sweet Liberty (1986).

I think I'll stay on this subject for awhile. :-)
