Genevieve Gorder is a designer and a regular host on the Home & Garden Television cable channel. Since January, she's hosted "Dear Genevieve," a show that features her design problems in person for viewers who have written in to the program.
Fun fact: She also designed the bottle for Tanqueray No. 10 gin.

British television actress Jenny Funnell
Jenny Funnell is familiar to Anglophilic Americans, having played Sandy in the British sitcom "As Time Goes By" for ten years.
Her character was a secretary who moves in with her boss and her best friend Judith, respectively played by Judi Dench and Moira Brooker. Sandy's personality was warm and soft in contrast to Judith's savvy, sharp image.

Betty Davis of the Weather Channel
The Weather Channel's on-camera meteorologist Betty Davis, on the air Saturday and Sunday mornings, must get a lot of kidding over her name.
Originally from Preston, Georgia, she pursued meteorology in college to the surprise of family and friends, and graduated from both Mississippi State University and Spelman College.
She actually said - remember, her name is Betty Davis - that she would probably have become an actress if she hadn't become a weather expert. :-D
A lot of folks in the New York area must be familiar with her these days, as they must watch the Weather Channel on weekend mornings hoping against hope that their weekends won't be washed out.

Actress Courteney Cox
Courteney Cox first got noticed in a nonspeaking part in the video for Bruce Springsteen's single "Dancing In the Dark," in which she plays a concertgoer Springsteen picks out of the crowd to come up onstage and dance with him - which the Boss used to do all the time with female attendees to his shows.
Soon she was a semi-regular guest actress on the TV series "Family Ties." And though it took awhile, Cox - who turns 45 today - finally broke through in 1994 in a big way, playing Monica Geller in the sitcom "Friends."
Since that show ended in 2004, Cox has remained active in televsion and movies. She's married to David Arquette, a scion of one of Hollywood's most prominent families.

Actress Jessica Biel
Jessica Biel is another young movie actress making waves these days.
The former star of the TV series "7th Heaven" moved to the big screen with a role in, of all things, a remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. She got taken seriously as an actress, though, with her role in The Illusionist, and she currently appears in Easy Virtue, a retelling of a Noel Coward play.

The Beauty of Retrospect, Part Seven: More of Karen Graham
Of course any brief retrospective of previously featured women on this blog would include seventies supermodel Karen Graham, my first celebrity crush! :-D This picture is from a 1982 Estée Lauder ad.
As with my previous post, this is from a picture of an ad I snagged from a Web site with a screen shot, which I edited down to just the image. I've been having fun with screen shots since I learned how to take them. :-)
Right, a whole new series of beautiful women in alphabetical order is coming next week. :-)
