Actress Annette Bening
Annette Bening has that rare combination of beauty and class ususally lakcing in Hollywood. And, she tamed Warren Beatty! :-D
After being cast as Bugsy Siegel's gun moll girlfriend, actress Virginia Hill ("Go jerk yourself a soda!") in the 1991 biographical drama Bugsy, Bening won a part in Beatty's personal life, ending his reign as Hollywood's very most eligible bachelor. The couple married in 1992, have remained married since, and have four children.
Bening, who recently turned 50, carved out a name for herself as an actress in a 1995 movie version of Shakespeare's Richard III as Queen Elizabeth (depicting Richard as a 1930s Nazi), 1999's dark suburban drama American Beauty, and 2004's Being Julia.

Jane Alexander - Gray is Beautiful!
You don't need to be young to be beautiful. Though she will be seventy next year, Jane Alexander, with her gray hair framing her warm face, is still one of the most beautiful - as well as one the most acomplished - actresses in this country. She's the American Helen Mirren. :-)
Alexander first became famous when she played Eleanor Backman in the original production of Howard Sackler's The Great White Hope in Washington with James Earl Jones; they both went on to star in the 1968 Broadway version and the 1970 movie version. Alexander won a Tony Award for the former performance and an Oscar nomination for the latter.
She also appeared in All the President's Men from 1976 and Kramer vs. Kramer from 1979, among other movies, but her biggest role came in 1993, when President Bill Clinton appointed her to chair the National Endowment For the Arts, which she did for four years.

The Beauty of Retrospect, Part Four: Birthday Girl Teri Polo
Teri Polo, my favorite actress of my own generation, turns 39 today.
And she doesn't look a day over 38. :-D
Ms. Polo will play the lead in Finnegan, a new police drama on ABC, this fall. Her character, Erin Finnegan, is a policewoman who leads a vice and organized-crime unit in the Los Angeles Police Department.
